Maker-craft and Tech Hub for Kids (Register FREE here)
Welcome to Witty Ditty's Maker and Tech Hub. Through 4-week project-based sessions, we'll keep children occupied with fun activities after school, and help them develop their critical thinking, *STEAM, and computer skills.
Every four weeks over the school term in a COVID secure space in the Marcus Garvey Children's library, they'll do creative projects making cool stuff, designed on computers, and built out of ‘recycled household junk’.
Kids will create 3D models that light up, create art that can make sounds, and build fun techy gadgets that move around, using simple circuits, electronics, 3D printing pens, and a little bit of coding. All our activities combine art, maker-craft, 3D design, model-making, and tech.
Over 12 weeks the kids will explore:
- 3D Design
- 3D pen printing and air drawing
- 3D animation
- 2D animation
- Digital design
- Recycled model making
- Graphic design
- Basic scratch coding
- Making light circuits and switches
- Applying batteries and motors
All equipment such as computers, 3D pens, 3D printers, and maker-craft materials are included in the price. (occasionally we may ask fOR a small contribution towards cell batteries)
